Cecil The Lion

Cecil's murder touched so many people's hearts because deep down we're compassionate creatures by nature & know that taking a life, any life, is wrong.
My prayer is that all animals are treated with compassion, reverence & respect so they can live out their natural lives fully, free from harm or threat of any kind. There is no such thing as humane killing of any living being.
For me Cecil's life & death represents an opportunity to question more, take a stand & commit to a life of making every choice from a place of compassion.
Individually & together we can make a difference in the world & if not now, when?

St Francis Pet Medals Love & Protect

Sometimes the simple things in life that we say or do can have the biggest impact, when it comes to promoting and sharing love, protection and kindness to animals.

Everyday I feel blessed when I'm engraving and gift wrapping each tag we sell because I know it is going to a pet that is very much loved and taken care of.

In Honor of Dillon

We received a very touching email from Julie about her beloved boy Dillon and how his St Francis Pet ID Tag loved & protected him every day of his life until he sadly passed in December 2013.
With Julie's permission we are sharing her email with you because  it is a beautiful testament as to why a St Francis ID tag represents so much more than 'just a pet tag'.

Foster Pets & The Rainbow Bridge

As part of our TLC (Tag+Leash+Collar) Program we love partnering with local shelters who foster out pets and work really hard to find them forever homes. Together, with our customers, we donate Writeable ID Tags to love and protect many of these fostered and rescued pets.

Every tag purchased from Pet Blessings generates an ID Tag donation on behalf of the pet and we match that donation. This means that two foster pets wear ID tags with their foster parents telephone numbers clearly visible.

Bubba's ID Tag Saves The Day!

Today driving home from the Store I saw a beautiful black dog meandeirng up the hill near my home. I pulled over right away and was relieved to see he was wearing a tag with his details engraved on it.  It was also obvious he is well taken care of and somehow managed to escape. His name is Bubba and he's adorable.

Love & Protect Your Pets This Thanksgiving

Did you know that the number of dogs with Canine Pancreatitis spikes after Thanksgiving! Many vets anticipate seeing many more dogs a few days after this holiday because it takes a few days for the symptoms to show.

Lots of well intentioned pet parents and guests think feeding a little bit of this and that can't do too much harm...but please be warned it very possibly can! It really is kinder to share healthy dog treats vs Thanksgiving Day dinner treats.

Even if you don't allow anyone to feed them Thanksgiving food, please be vigiliant about emptying the trash can too.  Lots of exciting smells will attract Fido and can cause havoc if he or she successfully raids the trash.

Symptoms: What to Watch Out For
